  • Quarantine Tip: Pull out those old roller skates and take them for a spin in your living room. Don’t forget to enjoy a milkshake and some tunes while you skate.
  • Quarantine Tip: Spend your day staring at the clocks on the wall waiting for time to pass.

Photographer Jesse Rieser for Society Magazine

Published in French magazine Society’s “America” issue, Jesse’s photo essay depicts a Latino neighborhood plagued by “The Serial Street Shooter” while serving as a metaphor for issues in American policy and politics: a lack of immigration reform, racial inequity, a shrinking middle class, community policing dysfunction, a lack of mental healthcare and quotidian gun violence. This work was also a winner in the American Photography Annual, featured in Buzzfeed, Fast Company, Feature Shoot, and The Daily Mail, along with being exhibited at the Houston Center of Photography.
