Dawson recently photographed Lone Pine Peak and Mount Whitney in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California. Mount Whitney is the tallest peak in the lower 48 states at 14,505 feet. Ecological thinker and political spokesman John Muir coined this area “The Range of Light,” and it is Dawson’s favorite place to shoot landscapes.
